There is no reason to impose duties on diesel fuel, – the expert

The introduction of a fee or quota would increase the cost of diesel fuel for the end user

The grounds for the imposition of a duty on imported diesel fuel do not exist. This was stated by the Director of special projects scientific-technical center “Psyche” Gennady Ryabtsev, commenting on the appeal of “Ukrtatnafta” to the acting Minister of energy to impose special duties on diesel fuel, writes “Znaj.ua”.

“There is no reason for this, no justification, the company has not provided for it to be implemented. In addition, no one is going to put all of this in hindsight,” – said Ryabtsev.

According to him, “Ukrtatnafta” implements its own policies and trying to win the market of oil products, which pushed the Russian suppliers of diesel fuel.

“Russian diesel fuel harms the Ukrainian “Ukrtatnafta”, because it is cheaper than the products he produces “Ukrtatnafta”, and it does not allow “Ukrtatnafta” to earn. The fact is that Russian diesel fuel is pushed out of the market similar products “Ukrtatnafta”. Therefore, it is clear that the management of this company wants to win the market in any way. It is clear that they are not interested in the opinion of the consumer. They need to get as much profit as possible” – said Ryabtsev.

He also stressed that the introduction of a fee or quota would increase the cost of diesel fuel for the end user.
