Tranche has arrived: Ukraine has received $ 2 billion from the IMF

The Foundation programme comprises three tranches for Kiev

Ukraine has received from the International monetary Fund (IMF) the first tranche of $ 2.1 billion under a new funding programme stand-by. This was announced by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakov Smoliy.

“Ukraine just got $ 2.1 billion of the first tranche from the IMF. Did you know that the funds do not come directly from the IMF, and from country members of the Fund? Since yesterday (11 Jun. – Ed.) funds come in dollars, euros, yen, pounds and yuan, the currencies included in the SDR. Now the process is complete,” wrote Smoliy on his Twitter page.
