Civil service employment has published the latest statistics
In Ukraine recently temporarily increased unemployment benefits. Thus by may 4, the country registered 456,8 thousand unemployed, of 48% (148,5 thousand) more than at the same date last year (as of may 4, 2019 the number of unemployed amounted to 308,3 million). Such information was published by the State employment service.
According to her, since the beginning of the quarantine, that is, from March 12, received the status of unemployed almost 156 thousand citizens. The number of vacancies decreased to 53 thousand (as at early may), which is almost 60% less than it was in may last year.
Employment in the civil service said that now there is a demand for workers:
- in the field of agriculture and forestry;
“This is the beginning of spring agricultural works. Despite the quarantine, employers offer work to the tractor operators, agronomists, work on integrated services for agricultural production and the like”, – explained in Department.
- in the field of trade and services, where this is not prohibited (the seller of food products, cashier, cook, cleaner, working on the improvement);
- in logistics (courier, driver, loader, utility worker, packer-packer, warehouse);
- in health care and social assistance (medical sister, a social worker);
- in the field of law enforcement (guard, watchman).
Also there are jobs for professionals and specialists with experience – accountants, inspectors, physicians, as well as for skilled workers, electricians, road workers, maintenance men, electricians.
We will remind, in Ukraine since the end of March 2020 the rapidly growing number of unemployed. But this trend is connected not only with crisis, but with the simplification of procedures for obtaining the status of unemployed with the employment service.
But in the chamber of Commerce of Ukraine believe that the unemployed in the country a lot more. They say that for the first two weeks of quarantine, their number has increased by 500-700 thousand people over the next two weeks in April and another 500-600 thousand people. In General, no job was 2,5-2,8 million Ukrainians.
