Tests will be distributed to staff ambulance stations in seven regions of the country
In Ukraine, arrived another shipment of rapid tests for the detection of coronavirus that causes COVID-19 – they purchased for the country by Rinat Akhmetov. The party, consisting of 20 000 diagnostic kits designed to test for coronavirus emergency physicians.
“That’s the ambulance teams go first to patients with suspected coronavirus. They are in a high risk group and to protect them – one of the priorities”, – said Natalia Yemchenko, member of the Supervisory Board of the Fund of Rinat Akhmetov.
According to her, the tests will be distributed between the regional centers of emergency medical aid and disaster medicine in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Lviv and Zhitomir. The total number of physicians who work there – about 10 thousand people.
Earlier in the framework of the project “200 emergency for Ukraine”, the Foundation transferred to the state medical institutions 200 vehicles, equipped with the best equipment and is able to overcome the lack of roads.

For the first time in 28 years of independence of the country, Rinat Akhmetov is the only benefactor who gave the doctors such a number of ultra-modern ambulances.
Doctors got 114 “of the intensive care units on wheels”, 64 SUV and 22 neonatal car equipped with the ventilator of the Italian production. Today, many of these soon involved in the fight against the epidemic across the country. The Fund has been in regular contact with doctors working on these cars and cares about their safety in the context of the epidemic.
Also Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation focuses on the acquisition of personal protective equipment for Ukrainian doctors. Has already been purchased and handed over to the Ministry of health unique mobile insulating box for the transport of infectious patients, the protective biological and chemical suit, protective disposable overalls, layered respirators, protective masks and goggles.
