Introduction of a RAB-regulation is an important guarantee to investors in understanding the game in the energy market. About it on air of TV channel “Direct” said the Deputy Director of EBRD in Ukraine Marina Petrov.
“Very important from this point of view (guarantees to investors in understanding the rules of the game in the energy market – ed.) will be the implementation of RAB-methodology, which is much spoken about and which, in fact, simple language is called “methodology to encourage investment,” – said Petrov.
She said that the RAB-methodology stimulates investment and increases the efficiency of existing companies working in the energy sector.
Petrov also added that the EBRD hopes that investors will come in particular in the distribution network of Ukraine. “We know that preparing for the privatization of Centrenergo, that is, a traditional energy assets, which also can come investors provided that there are clear rules,” said Deputy Director of the EBRD
According to her, from this point of view is important was the adoption of the law on the regulator, the new law on the electricity market and introduction of RAB-regulation.
Earlier, the Polish expert with 30 years of experience in the energy sector, the Director of consulting company Doradztwo Gospodarcze Krzysztof Rogulsky explained why RAB-regulation of tariffs Ukrainian consumers will benefit.
