Poroshenko will speak at a meeting of the UN security Council

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will take part in the meeting of the UN Security Council where he will deliver a speech. This was stated by the representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko, reports “Radio Freedom”.

According to him, the President will speak to the UN security Council on September 20.

“Poroshenko will act in the General Assembly, it makes sense to outline our vision. It’s not that, it’s like Russia or not, we have the right to their own beliefs, we will continue to promote in the framework of the UN General Assembly as well. The President of Ukraine will be the 20th day of (September. – Ed.) The UN security Council will be a special session on peacemaking. I think it will be another opportunity to speak about our vision of the role of the UN in the Donbas,” – said Yelchenko.

He noted that the West is in no hurry to send to Ukraine peacekeepers, while in the Donbass not cease hostilities.

“This is a very complicated issue … until this conflict is frozen, that is, to cease hostilities, I think no country will allow itself to send its peacekeepers, acting in conditions of active hostilities,” – said the diplomat.

We will remind, today said Russian President Vladimir Putin, he supports the presence of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass, however, they must be on the boundary line.
