The head of SBU wants criminal liability for visiting Russian politicians

The head of the security Service of Ukraine Vasily Gritsak proposes to prohibit the visit of Russian MPs, politicians and public figures, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.

Answering a question of journalists on Saturday in Kyiv on the decision of the introduction in 2018 of biometric controls for entry to Ukraine citizens of the Russian Federation Hrytsak said: “This will definitely help us in the work. I support the President’s initiative. I would go even further: I would introduce a legislative ban and criminal liability for the use of the aggressor country members of Parliament, politicians and public figures”.

As reported, the decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the introduction in 2018 of biometric controls for entry into the country of foreigners, including citizens of Russia, published on 2 September in the governmental newspaper “Uryadovy courier”.
