The budget for 2018 will allow you to rearm APU – Poltorak

The budget for the next, in 2018, will be sufficient to take an important step forward in the reform and modernisation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak.

“The budget for next year will be sufficient to make a significant step forward and achieve maximum results in the reform of the Armed forces, the modernization, equipping, training,” – said Poltorak on Friday, September 1, during his working visit to Lviv.

“Now the process of the formation of this budget and the data that I have, very optimistic. We will have the opportunity to develop educational and material base,” the Minister added.

Also the defense Minister said that now it created the modern infrastructure of training grounds and centres throughout Ukraine, which meet the standards of NATO with the possibilities of training, rest and preparation.

“All that is in Ukraine today, seeks to army strong,” – said Poltorak.

We will remind, the Secretary of the national security Council and defence of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov predicts that the defense budget for 2018 will provide not less than 162,7 billion hryvnia, then there will be at least 5% of Ukraine’s GDP.
