It became known how many Ukrainians are willing to give themselves to the organs after death

The majority of Ukrainians are ready to give their organs after death. This is evidenced by data survey, conducted by the Sociological group “Rating” in July-August 2017.

So, 63% of Ukrainians agreed to “bequeath” their organs for transplantation after death. The fourth part of respondents were not ready to take this step. Another 12% of respondents undecided if they are willing to donate their organs for transplantation after death.

Most supported the right of people to donate their organs after death – from the Western regions of the country, young people, wealthy people and those in the family are doctors. Also men are more likely to agree to donate their organs for transplantation after death than women.

The study covered 1,200 Ukrainians over the age of 18.
