The issue of providing lethal weapons to Ukraine is under consideration and will be discussed with the US leadership. This was stated by the Minister of defence of the USA James Mattis at the briefing following the talks with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reports 112.ua.
He said that he intends on returning to the United States to make recommendations to the American leader Donald Trump in Ukraine.

“If we talk about defense-lethal weapons, we consider this question. I’ll be back to himself and, given what I saw and what heard, I will inform the leadership of the country about the very specific things that I will recommend for implementation,” said Mattis.
As stated by Peter Poroshenko, he was satisfied with the talks with Mattis for providing military assistance to Ukraine.
