The foreign Ministry sent Russia a note of protest in connection with “the visit” Putin in the Crimea

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine considers the next “visit” of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the city of Sevastopol temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, gross violation of Russia’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the corresponding note of protest sent to the foreign Ministry. This was reported by press service of the foreign Ministry.

“August 18, 2017 began the next visit of the delegation headed by Russian President Putin in the Ukrainian city of Sevastopol temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian side considers the mentioned “visit”, like other so-called travel of Russian officials in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, a gross violation of Russia’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, cynical and defiant disregard of the Russian party of the generally recognized norms of international law,” reads the message.

The Agency reiterated that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city are and will continue to be an integral part of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

“It is recognized throughout the civilized world, which already gave a proper assessment of the wrongful actions of the Russian Federation, including by introducing it against the relevant restrictive measures (sanctions)”, – reminded the Minister.

Earlier it was reported that Putin arrived in occupied Crimea.
