In Ukraine in November of 2017 must complete implementation of EU directives on driver’s license. Thus, from 1 January 2018, the “international” driver’s license will cease to operate in the EU.
The head of the main service centre of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine Vladislav Crickley says that drivers from Ukraine with a perpetual identity now sometimes not allowed in the EU, and from January 1, 2018, the so-called international “law” in the EU in General will be void.
Thus Crickley noted that in order to get a driver’s license of a new sample, do not need to re-sit the SDA. You will need only to pass a medical examination and confirm health.
The cost of the new driver’s licenses will be a few percent more than the current law, t they will cost in UAH 201. “We also propose to establish the identity microchips. Our service centers are already provided with all the necessary equipment, it will protect people from fraud,” — said Crickley.

New rights will be issued to a maximum of 15 years. For truck drivers this period will be reduced to 5 years, and medical examination for drivers of trucks and buses can be more thorough than others. Strict rules of physical examination is for drivers aged 50 years — they will have to take it every three or five years.
