Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman discussed with the new head of the State border service of Ukraine Petro Chicalim technical re-equipment of crossing the state border and increase funding for the Department.
“For the government is an absolute priority, the reliability of the state border, an effective fight against smuggling, because we need to produce our competitive products, and without effective control on the border is impossible,” – said Groisman.
The Prime Minister also noted the importance of improving the service: “it is Important that our citizens, especially after the introduction of a visa-free regime with the EU, normally crossed the state border”.

Hroisman recalled that the company started the project “the New face of border”, which provides for the reform of border service units and the recruitment of new staff, will contribute to improving the quality of services at the border.
“The government will support positive change in the work of border guards through technical re-equipment of border crossing points, increasing the budget funding for the Service, as well as through the implementation of related projects, particularly the construction of roads and infrastructure at the borders,” – said the head of government.
