The head of “Ukrzaliznytsia” (UZ) Wojciech Balczun filed a letter of resignation, which will consider today the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The reason for writing the application became “personal circumstances”. This was stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman at a government meeting.
“Today we will discuss the application of the results of Balcona resignation. He made this decision on their own – and I respect him. No matter what anyone said, but in the “Ukrzaliznytsia” for this year occurred including positive changes. I want to thank him for his work. I understand that he worked under difficult conditions is an extremely difficult enterprise. But it is important to change this enterprise – not just the head and control system of the enterprise. Independent management, independent Supervisory Board”, – said Groisman.
He said that the Cabinet will also consider the appointment of the acting new head of “Railways” Deputy Minister of infrastructure Evgeny Kravtsov. Now he heads the Supervisory Board of ULTRASONIC.
“But we just have to announce a new competition to find the best candidate for control of this important enterprise”, – said Groisman.

The Prime Minister calculate that Balcon will remain an adviser to the head of the Board and will exercise the functions of international coordination. “Because they started the projects, including logistics international, need to continue and complete.
