Canada called the priority of free trade with Ukraine

Running an effective free trade with Ukraine is a priority for the Ministry of international trade of Canada.This was stated by special assistant to the Minister of international trade of Canada Marc-andré Purje, writes “UKRINFORM”.

“The agreement on free trade area (FTA) with Ukraine is a priority for the champagne (Minister of international trade Canada. – Ed.). And we are very happy that it (the FTA. – Ed.) will enter into force very soon,” said Purje.

He added that the Minister champagne will do everything to promote the canadian-Ukrainian interests.

We will remind, the agreement on free trade between Canada and Ukraine was signed July 11, 2016 during the visit of Justin Trudeau in Kiev. The agreement comes into effect on 1 August this year.

Canada will immediately abolish tariffs on 99.9% of Ukrainian imports. In turn, Ukraine will eliminate 86% of the duties on imports from Canada during the seven years leading customs policy parity.
