The Chairman of the Advisory of the European Union mission in Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine) kęstutis Lanchinskas States that the mission will spend 2 million euros for the reform of the security service of Ukraine in 2017.
This year the Advisory mission is implementing 45 projects to promote the reform of the law enforcement system of Ukraine.
“Will be funded trainings and travel of our colleagues in other European countries to exchange best practices,” – said Lanchinskas.
According to him, the mission will also provide financial assistance for the purchase of equipment for law enforcement.
However, the mission a month and a half will give the Ukrainian side cars-SUVs, which are still used by the EU mission.
Among the most important projects that are currently funded mission is to create a system of cooperation between Europol and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies and the protection of public order.
Recall President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law, which the Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement on operational and strategic cooperation between Ukraine and Europol.
EUAM Ukraine started to work in Ukraine in late 2014 and is designed to contribute to reforming the civilian security sector of Ukraine, which includes the police, border guards, intelligence services, prison system and system of justice.
