The highest pension in Ukraine is 58 thousand hryvnias, it gets a test pilot, hero of Ukraine. Of the 12 million Ukrainian pensioners by nearly eight million are approximately minimal (1312 UAH). The average pension of a judge – more than 22 thousand hryvnias, members of Parliament on retirement receive an average of 15 thousand hryvnias, and prosecutors – about 10 thousand. Richest pensioners live in Kiev, and the poorest – in the Ternopil region
Given that the calculation of pension takes into account the size of the salary, the highest pensions are received in the capital. Primarily this is due to the traditionally high salaries in the capital. Now Kiev pensioners receive an average of more than 2,500 hryvnia.
In the second place the size of pensions of Donetsk region. Here on the average the Ukrainians in retirement are getting more in 2100 hryvnia. Approximately 2000 UAH receive Lugansk pensioners. The average pension at the level of 1600 UAH in Ternopil, Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions.
Not all pensioners over 55 years. Superannuation a “deserved rest” are teachers, some doctors, miners, military, police, etc. in Ukraine – 693 thousand people. After the reform “special” pensions they cancel. Social pension (946 hryvnias) get to 94.7 thousand people – those who most of his life worked informally (or not worked). The most numerous category of pensioners by age, they are more than 9.1 million people.

The average salary in the country for three years × own salary/average salary in the country × number of years worked × 1,35%
To obtain at least 40% of the ratio of their earnings to a national average for three years, at the moment, need to work 30 years. After the pension reform for those same 40% will need to have 40 years of experience. This is due to the fact that the coefficient estimates of experience are offered to reduce from 1.35% to 1%.
How to get higher pensions after the reform
According to the Ministry of social policy, the real cost of living for a pensioner – 2500 UAH. This is the amount which is sufficient to purchase a minimum “basket” of goods and services. All who get less, in fact, live below the poverty line. After reforms to the pension of 2500 UAH with 35 years of experience you need to get paid 1.9 times higher than the average. At the moment it is more than 12 thousand hryvnia. However, if you work 38 years, retiring in 2500 hryvnia you can get with a salary of 11 thousand. An expert in the field of pensions Galina Tretyakov is sure that the high amount of the basic pension system can not provide. In fact, not to live in poverty in old age, you need to open an account in a private pension Fund, or collect money yourself, or wait until the mandatory state accumulation Fund.
Funded pension was planning to launch a few years ago, but, as they say in the Ministry of social policy, this can be done only after the deficit of the solidarity system will be eliminated.
