In the European Union did not agree on the wording of the European aspirations of Ukraine. Work on this will continue. The EU is the main, not the result. Commented on the EU Council the results of the meeting of the Committee of permanent representatives of member countries of the EU (COREPER), which considered this question, UNIAN reports.
“Agreement on the wording of the European aspirations of Ukraine not achieved, but this work (securing European recognition of the intentions of Kiev) will be continued so that it was possible at the summit of the Eastern partnership”, – said the Agency interlocutor.
However, he pointed out that the provisions are already there in the ratified Association Agreement Ukraine-EU, as well as in declarations on the results of the December summit in 2016.
Answering the question about what the Netherlands will block the resolution of this item, the representative of the EU Council recalled that the government of this country has done everything possible to the ratification of the Association Agreement was possible.

“We at the summit will discuss the strategy after the Agreement enters into force, so the question of a joint Declaration as a result of this summit, in today’s agenda. Our goal is concrete results, not words,” – said the representative of the EU Council.
