“First selfie” by American artist Andy Warhol sold at auction for 6 million pounds (about 7.8 million dollars), reports RNS.
The work of the artist sold at auction auction house Sotheby’s.
Self portrait – part of a series of pictures taken in the photo booth Warhol in new York. At that time the artist was 35 years old. At Sotheby’s this piece called “the first selfie”, and the Warhol – “godfather” era of social networks.
