Ukraine joined the energy system of Europe – “Ukrenergo”

Company “Ukrenergo” signed the agreement on accession of Ukraine to the energy system of Europe. This was announced by the head of company Vsevolod Kovalchuk on his page in Facebook.

“The agreement on the terms of accession was signed today in Brussels during a General Assembly of the Association of operators of transmission system ENTSO-E… Several years of joint work of the government, the national Commission, the Ministry, of the Ministry of energy and power generating companies ahead. The draft roadmap has been developed, all of the requirements of modernizing our energy system are contained in the Agreement,” he wrote.

According to Kovalchuk, the first time Ukraine has applied to join the energy system of Europe in 2006.

“Joining together with the introduction of the new law on the electricity market will combine the markets of neighbouring countries will give a real competition to win monopoly”, – said the head of “Ukrenergo”.

As you know, earlier President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law “On electricity market”.
