The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated Ukrainians on the Constitution Day, saying that she has a unique historical roots. This is stated in a message on his Facebook.
According to him, the Ukrainian Constitution originates from a distant 1710.
“The Constitution, though relatively young, but has a unique historical roots. In April 1710, when the world was still dominated by the absolute monarchy, before the American war of independence and before the French revolution remained for decades, and our ancestors already made essentially Republican-democratic Manifesto. The Manifesto, which for many years was ahead of its time. Constitution Day Of Ukraine!” – stated in the message of the President.
In turn, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman urged to respect the symbol of our statehood, the main law of Ukraine, which testifies that Ukrainians live in a free, independent, democratic country.
“I am confident that our strong European state will succeed!”, the Prime Minister added.
