The state fiscal service (GFS) of Ukraine should not again become the Ministry of revenue and duties. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in an interview to “Лига.net”.
“I am absolutely against the revival Minsdokh (Ministry of incomes and fees. – Ed.). This is unacceptable,” – said Groisman.
According to him, the SFS should remain subordinate to the Ministry of Finance, not of the Cabinet. However, according to the Prime Minister, the service needs major reform.
“Today, we see the following model: SFS remains in the Ministry of Finance. But the service it is necessary to rebuild and completely reformed. It should not be a punitive body, and intellectual, with serious and civilized powers. My position is that GFS support and protect the business, not Vice versa, was also created artificial obstacles. I believe it is important to ensure persistent economic growth. Possible, including as a result of this reform, and its result should be the creation of normal business climate”, – said Groisman.
Recall, the Ministry of incomes and fees of Ukraine was established in December 2012 on the basis of the State tax and State customs services.
In March 2014, the Cabinet decided to abolish the Ministry, restoring the separation of tax and customs service submission to the Ministry of Finance. Later, the government decided not to disconnect the service, and to create the State fiscal service with the same functions carried out by the Ministry.
