Already more than 1 million citizens of Ukraine, using the program “Affordable medicine,” he received medication from cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes or asthma, for free or with little fee. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of health.
“Today, almost 6 thousand pharmacies have joined the government program “Affordable medicine”. This means that every third pharmacy in the country patients can get a prescription from your doctor from cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes or asthma, are included in the program, for free or with little extra charge”, – stated in the message.
In addition, said the health Ministry, recorded a positive trend in the use of funds allocated to the program. In General, the pharmacies have released drugs for 1.4 million recipes and received compensation in the amount of UAH 67mln, accounting for 13.5% of the total amount of allocated public funds.
We will remind, the authorities summed up the first results of the state program “Accessible medicines” to ensure patients with hypertension, diabetes and asthma free or discounted drugs by the state (reimbursement), which was launched on 1 April. Now the list includes 157 drugs.
