The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will soon hold a meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. Announced the appointment of the Ambassador of France in Ukraine, Isabelle Dumont, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
According to her, the main theme of the presidency will be the situation in the Donbass.
“When there are meetings at different levels will be discussed bilateral relations, issues of Ukraine’s future, relations with Europe and, of course, the situation in the Donbas… of Course, since we are part of this format (“Channel format”- ed.) we want to see and work in order to find a way out of this situation. Of course it will be in the center of the conversation,” said Dumont.
However, she clarified that the meeting of the presidents will be held in the near future.
“French foreign policy in support of Ukraine will be continued”, – the Ambassador added.
We will remind, at the moment, the President of Ukraine is on a state visit to the United States. Today he is due to meet US President Donald trump.
