Ukraine is ready for the meeting “channel four” (France, Germany, Ukraine, Russia) at the level of heads of States. About this in comments to Interfax-Ukraine said the speaker of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Marian Betz.
During the negotiations, “Norman Quartet” at the level of Deputy foreign Ministers of the Ukrainian representative spoke about the escalation of the situation in the Donbas.
At the same time, Betz noted that during yesterday’s negotiations Russia showed no interest in the meeting of heads of state
“The Ukrainian side confirmed its readiness as our partners, to holding the summit, however, Russia is not showing any readiness. From our side also raised the issue of the escalation in the Donbass, the introduction of another “regime of silence” and the exchange of hostages on the principle of “all for all”, – said the speaker of the foreign Ministry and added that the meeting did not raise the question of the “road map” for the Donbass and the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
In addition she recalled that none of the points of the Minsk agreements have not yet been met by Russia.
As reported, the talks in Berlin at the level of Deputy foreign Ministers of the countries participating in the Normandy format lasted for almost 4 hours.
