The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and delegation of the Committee for business cooperation with Ukraine of Japanese business Federation “Keidanren” headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation “Marubeni” Teruo Asada at a meeting in Kiev discussed the prospects of expanding the two countries. This was reported by the press service of the heads of the Ukrainian state.
“The meeting participants discussed the ways of expanding investment and trade-economic cooperation between Ukraine and Japan,” they say in the message.
Assad said that thanks conducted in recent years to the reforms Ukraine has become a promising state from the point of view of investment and business.
In this context, he welcomed the joint meeting of the coordinating Council on economic cooperation with Japan under the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine and the Committee for business cooperation with Ukraine of Japanese business Federation “Keidanren”.
In addition, the parties discussed the strengthening of cooperation with the government of Japan and Japanese business in implementing large-scale projects in Ukraine in the sphere of infrastructure development, energy, environmental protection, information technologies.
The meeting also looked at ways of establishing direct air service between Ukraine and Japan.
As reported, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe intends to amend the Constitution and to consolidate the status of the defense Forces of the country.
