PHOTOFACT. Three Russian fighter jets flew over the Dutch frigate in the Baltic sea

Two Russian su-24 flew three times near the Dutch frigate Evertsen. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of defence of the Netherlands, reports “Ukrainian truth”.

It is noted that the incident posed no threat to air safety and the frigate, however, the maneuvers of the Russian planes followed closely.

The surveillance was carried out from the frigate and two Swedish fighters, which reacted to the approach of the Russians and escorted planes.

The frigate Evertsen is currently part of the first permanent naval group of NATO.

The purpose of this mission is a NATO presence in the Baltic sea with the aim to assure allies on the Eastern flank of the Alliance safe.

Earlier it was reported that the Polish fighters intercepted Russian aircraft over the Baltic sea.
