Internet service providers will be fined for failure to comply with the decree banning Russian sites

National Commission exercising the state regulation of communications and Informatization warns Internet providers about administrative liability and fines for failure to comply with the decree of the President about a ban in Ukraine a number of Russian social networks and web services in the form of a penalty to two hundred free minima of the income of citizens.

“Please note, operators and providers of telecommunications services, Internet access, article 145 of the code of Ukraine on administrative offences it is established that the violation of the conditions and rules regulating activities in the sphere of telecommunications and use of radio frequency resource of Ukraine under licenses, permits – shall entail imposition of penalty on officials of enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership ranging from one hundred to two hundred untaxed minimum incomes of citizens”, – stated in the message on the Agency’s website on Tuesday.

However, the Commission stressed that the same actions made repeatedly within year after imposing of administrative penalty for the violations specified in the first mentioned article, shall entail imposition of penalty on officials of enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership in the amount of from two hundred to three hundred untaxed minimum incomes of citizens.

In addition, according to article 148-2 of the code of Ukraine on administrative offences violation of the order and conditions of provision of communication services in public networks – entails a fine on officials in the amount from fifty to hundred free minima of incomes of citizens.
