The staff of Department of protection of economy of the National police in coordination with the General Prosecutor’s office made one of the leaders of the National Agency for prevention of corruption (NACP) administrative reports for violation of anti-corruption legislation.
As reported on the official website of the National police of Ukraine, the protocols compiled by CC.1,2 article 172-7 (violation of the requirements regarding the prevention and settlement of conflict of interests) of the Code of Ukraine about administrative violations.
“One of the leaders of the NACP has violated the requirements of article 28 (prevention and settlement of conflict of interests) of the law of Ukraine “On prevention of corruption”. He reported NACP about the real conflict of interests during the consideration of the letters of the GPU and further agreed on a draft decision on the refusal to complete the verification of declarations of one of the judges of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv for 2015 and 2016″, – stated in the message.
As militiamen established that the administrative judge considered the case and ruled against the member of the NACP, with the participation of his lawyer of the decision, which he was acquitted.
The police did not report the name of the member of the NACP, which is against the Protocol, however, the “Ukrainian truth” with reference to its own source reports that it may be the Deputy head of the NACP Ruslan Radetsky, who had been arrested for drunk driving, but the judge of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv declared him innocent.
As reported, in late April of this year the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said about the interior Ministry received a letter from one of the leaders of the Department of the NACP so that the interior Ministry made the Protocol on corruption concerning the Deputy head of the NACP Radetzky. In the appeal, according to the Minister, we are talking about the fact that Radetsky their actions “have provided benefits to some judges it before it was tried in court and acquitted”.
He also said that the interior Ministry received a document from the people’s Deputy Serhiy Leshchenko. “In it he sets out the facts that we have checked, and they, unfortunately, are without Foundation regarding the activities of Mrs. Korczak (head of the NACP Natalia Korchak – ed.) and Mr. Radetsky in terms of charging unjustified premiums and bonuses”, – said Avakov.
Avakov assured that the interior Ministry will adequately respond to these appeals: “I will not take the responsibility not to take steps regarding these statements. We are the legitimate way we can all move on”.
However, the Cabinet did not decide on the appointment of the internal investigation, considering it necessary to study the mechanisms of possible responses after testing. We are talking about the fact that, under the law, the Cabinet can not according to the results of the official investigation to impose penalty to the members of the NACP or to dismiss them, and the result of the audit needs to be action of this kind.
