The Cabinet approved the action plan for the development of civil society in Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the action plan in 2017 for the implementation of national policies to promote the development of civil society. The decision was taken at a government meeting on Thursday, may 11.

“The plan was thoroughly discussed in the working groups with representatives of civil society. It involves the development of a number of bills, which normalized the registration and activity of public associations of a model Charter of public organizations, improvement of the mechanism of formation and organization of activity of public councils under the Executive authorities,” – said Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko.

According to the press service of Deputy Prime Minister, the plan will expand the list of organizations that will receive financial support.

It is also planned introduction of the single window on registration of religious organizations and ensure the maintenance of the draft laws “On local referendum”, “On guarantees of freedom of peaceful Assembly”, “On the General meeting (conference) of members of territorial community according to place of residence”.

We will remind, on may 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting approved the draft decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the appointment of 28 lifetime scholarships to citizens who had previously been harassed for his human rights activities.
