The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin during his visit to Washington and meetings with US President Donald trump and Vice-President Mike Pence discussed with the American side, the opportunity of bringing the United States to resolve the situation in the Donbass, including in the Normandy format.
“They discussed the situation in Donbas and the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The American side there are a clear understanding of what the Russian aggression and how it is threatening… also Discussed the involvement of the American side to resolve the situation (in the Donbass. – Ed.) in the “channel format”, – said foreign Ministry spokesman Marian Betz.
Previously, Betz noted that the American side is once again clearly reaffirmed his consistent position on support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression, support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
“This is a very important visit, which came at such a high level,” said Betz.
As reported, trump took the White house and Klimkin discussed the situation in the Donbass and further support of Kiev by Washington. Before that, there was the meeting of the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry with the Pens.
