The vast majority of former Ukrainian officials since the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych, which Interpol refused to declare the international wanted list are in Russia and they have no leverage, said Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin.
“90 percent of those who refused to seek the Interpol in Russia. Regardless of the decision of the Interpol, there’s a red card or not, Interpol defines for us that if these persons are located in Russia – they have no leverage,” said ENIN in the air UMN (Ukrainian Media Network).
He also noted that in relation to Yanukovych and his 15 companions of the sanctions imposed by the EU Council. “That is the entrance of any of them in European Union or certain other countries: Switzerland, Liechtenstein, USA, etc. now is absolutely impossible,” said ENIN.
Earlier it was reported that Interpol was removed from the international wanted list of former Ukrainian President Yanukovych and his son Alexander, former Minister of energy and coal industry of Ukraine Eduard Stavisky, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Onishchenko.
