The former head of the national police of Ukraine Dekanoidze regained Georgian citizenship

The President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili signed a decree on April 12, has restored Georgian citizenship to the former head of the National police of Ukraine Khatia Dekanoidze. About it on may 2, reported the Georgian media, citing the presidential administration.

According to the Georgian legislation, Dekanoidze automatically lost their Georgian citizenship in 2015, when he accepted the citizenship of Ukraine.

After voluntary retirement from the post of head of National police of Ukraine at the end of 2016, she returned to Georgia, where he was involved in political activities in the ranks of the opposition party “United national movement”, founded by the ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.
