Poroshenko about the release of the prisoners: we Have serious intentions

In the matter of exchange of prisoners Ukraine is ready to take decisive action, and will help free foreign hostages in Russia. This was stated at a press conference in Tallinn, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, being there with official visit, transfers “Interfax-Ukraine”.

According to him, for the release of hostages you need to consolidate all of the world.

“We have serious intentions regarding the speedy liberation of the Ukrainian, Estonian and other hostages who have been held in Russia and in the occupied territories. Unfortunately, the only thing is consolidated actions all over the world, as was the case with Afanasyev, Soloshenko and others, only the joint actions lead to results. We are ready to take decisive and coordinated action in relation to the Ukrainian citizens, including Sushchenko, Sentsov and others, and in respect of citizens of other countries”, – assured Poroshenko

During his speech, Poroshenko reminded that a few weeks ago, Ukraine unilaterally freed 15 people and, therefore, wait for a response from the Russian Federation.

“Unfortunately, the Russian side, we didn’t, and we emphasize that we have serious intentions to continue this fight,” – concluded the head of state.

As reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande during a telephone conversation called for the rapid exchange of prisoners based on the formula “all for all”.

In turn, Petro Poroshenko said that categorically rejects the idea of abandoning the Donbass. The guarantor believes that some urge to behave with the inhabitants of the occupied areas of Donbass, if they are not Ukrainian citizens.
