Ukraine and Iran have agreed to launch a test train for the transportation of agricultural products, in particular, the Ukrainian grain. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine.
The route will go through the territory of Georgia and Azerbaijan. To run the train in the summer of 2017.
The Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian had a meeting with the Iranian delegation composed of the Ambassador of Iran to Ukraine Mohammad Beheshti-Monfared, managing Director of the organization of the free trade-industrial zone “Anzali and the Port of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Caspian sea,” Mr Reza Masrour, Head of the representative office of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Gilan province Mohammad Reza Bagheri PUR Salamat, representatives of business circles of Iran and the like.
“This is an extremely promising field of cooperation for both countries. Ukraine needs to develop a new international transport corridors in order to become a reliable transit bridge between Europe, Asia and the East,” said Omeljan.
The parties also discussed cooperation in the field of Maritime and road transport, focusing particularly on the issues of strengthening cooperation in the aviation sector.
