The head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Valeria Gontareva had planned to work in their positions for less than three years. It has declared itself Gontareva at a press conference on her resignation.
“As you know, from the very beginning I emphasized that they go to the national Bank to make reforms. For myself, I planned an even shorter period of tenure of the head of the National Bank”, – said Gontareva.
Gontareva reminded that he has always said that he is not going to work on a post of the NBU Governor for seven years. According to her, if reform could take place for a year, she would be gone in a year.
We will remind, today, April 10, Gontareva has officially announced his resignation. The statement of Gontareva must be signed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, after which it will be considered by the Verkhovna Rada.
Resign Gontareva is may 10, notifying, according to the rules for a month. However, if the Verkhovna Rada voted for the dismissal of the NBU Governor earlier, Gontareva leaves post according to the decision of Parliament.
