Russia considered provided by the Pentagon’s clarification of the deaths of civilians in Mosul as a result of the raids of the bombers, is unacceptable. She, in turn, confirmed that the mass death of civilians of Mosul occurred after the application of a Coalition led by the US so-called “smart bombs”. According to the news Agency IRNA, the official representative of the defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov on Sunday, 2 April, said: “the comments of the representative of the Pentagon on the reasons for the deaths of many civilians residing in the city of Mosul during an air RAID perpetrated by American bombers, have nothing to do with what was happening in reality”.
Russian news Agency “Interfax”, referring to the words Konashenkov, wrote: “the statement that American officials are talking about planning air operations in Iraq, the Coalition led by the United States, based on the use of so-called “smart bombs”, which, reaching goals, caused the deaths of many civilians.”
Following the statement of Joseph Scrocca, the official representative of the Coalition headed by the USA, referred to as the “Coalition against ISIS”, the representative of the defense Ministry pointed to the last words that he promised to study the issue of declassification of the video, which captures how the terrorists, under the guise of local residents who live in the building on the Western outskirts of Mosul, opened from the building fire.
Konashenkov said: “the Terrorists are provoked by American and coalition forces maintain on the building fire, which in itself is considered a war crime and it was unclear why the Pentagon is concealed”.
Another important factor here is the moment that the Coalition led by the USA, despite the fact that had this information, however, continued bombing of residential areas of Mosul. And such actions continue to claim large number of lives of civilians, — added the representative of the defense Ministry.
At the same time, the 2nd channel of Russian television today, April 2, recalled that as a result of air strikes inflicted by the air forces of the Coalition on residential areas of cities in Iraq and Syria since August 2014 to date, has killed a total of 396 people.
Recall that Russian officials have repeatedly condemned the ongoing Coalition bombing of residential areas in the cities of both countries, especially the city of Mosul, and demanded to put an end to this criminal tactic.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in his recent statement also addressed the issue of massive bombing of residential areas of Mosul by Coalition forces headed by the USA, and demanded convening an extraordinary session of security Council of the UN for a full investigation into the continuing mass killings of the inhabitants of this Iraqi city.
The foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov also recently reported that during the U.S. airstrikes on the Iraqi city of Mosul in the past month killed a total of up to 100 civilians.
Lavrov added that, according to available information, the latest bombing lasted more than an hour, and if within that time no one noticed that strikes are not military objectives, in this case, the behavior of the us military looks “weird”.
Lieutenant-General Sergey Rutskoy, head of the Main operations Directorate of the General staff of the Russian Armed forces on Tuesday also said: “the Coalition Aircraft in the U.S. almost daily air strikes on residential areas in Mosul”.
He added that Coalition aircraft continuously air strikes on residential buildings of Mosul, where, in addition to hiding there terrorists group ISIS, still home to tens of thousands of civilians.
