Poroshenko has appointed Maria Gaidar, his adviser

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the decree about appointment of the former Deputy head of the Odessa regional state administration Maria Gaidar, his adviser. The corresponding decree of 28 March 2017 published on the website of the presidential Administration.

“To appoint Gaidar Maria Yegorovna Advisor to the President of Ukraine (out of state)”, – the document says.

We will remind, on July 17, 2015 Gaidar was appointed adviser to the Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration on the proposal of Mikheil Saakashvili.

On August 4, President Petro Poroshenko gave Gaidar citizenship of Ukraine. Condition for obtaining Ukrainian citizenship was a rejection of foreign passports. Later Gaidar said that he wrote the disclaimer from Russian citizenship.

16 Jan 2016 Saakashvili appointed Gaidar, the Deputy head of the Odessa regional state administration on social issues.

May 10, 2016 Gaidar wrote a letter of resignation from his post, but said that it will continue its operations as an Advisor of Saakashvili.

16 Sep 2016 the interior Ministry announced that Maria Gaidar filed a petition for renunciation of citizenship of Russia.
