The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated his colleague from Ireland Michael Higgins with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and invited him to visit Kiev.
This is stated in the congratulation of the Ukrainian President, posted on the presidential website.
“On behalf of the people of Ukraine and from me personally, please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Ireland. I am convinced that a trusting and warm relationship between our countries will continue to develop for the benefit of both peoples. Take this opportunity to confirm you the invitation to pay an official visit to Ukraine this year to celebrate the anniversary of bilateral relations,” – said in it.
Poroshenko also thanked Higgins for Ireland’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
