First Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko has published information that the European people’s party Summit adopted a resolution with the eloquent title “Russian disinformation undermines Western democracy”. She wrote about this in Facebook, the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
“The summit of the EPP – 2017 adopted resolution with the eloquent title “Russian disinformation undermines Western democracy” which is often mentioned by Putin and his aggressive, destructive policy,” – said Gerashchenko.
The European people’s party called on NATO and the EU to unity in opposition to Russian propaganda, together to defend liberal values, based on human rights and the rule of law, independent judicial system.
The resolution said that Putin and his policies are undermining European liberal values and the whole European project.
About the threats from the Russian Federation said in his speech and President Poroshenko, calling on EU countries to jointly fight the propaganda, to counter the hybrid war with the Russian Federation.
