The President of the United States Donald trump in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place in late January, did not hide the fact that he does not agree with Russia in many things and that there are a number of issues on which the U.S. and Russia cannot come to an agreement.
This was stated in an interview with CNN, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“Actually, it (the conversation — ed.) was quite promising, he is very pragmatic, I mean President of the trump. He does not hide the fact that he does not agree with Russia in many things, but he’s pragmatic enough to say that we need to say that we need to dialogue, we need to compare our positions to find a common position,” — said Peskov in response to the questions about how was a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and trump, and what was Putin’s reaction.
“And despite the fact that in our relations there are some dead ends, he said that there are a number of issues on which we cannot come to an agreement that we will never be able to reach agreement with you, a Russian. But at the same time he says we need to get together and start a dialogue. But, unfortunately, we have no better understanding of when this dialogue can begin,” said Sands.
Recall the telephone conversation Putin and trump took place on 28 January 2017.
