Foreign Minister of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel, will visit Ukraine on a working visit on March 2-3, reports “Interfax-Ukraine” citing a source in diplomatic circles.
“The visit is expected on March 2-3. Planned meetings with President, Prime Minister, Chairman Parliament and Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine”, – said the Agency interlocutor.
Previously Gabrielle has met with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin on the sidelines of the meeting, “Norman Quartet” in Munich in February 2017.
Earlier Sigmar Gabriel said that without the implementation of the Minsk agreements, there is a risk of “intensive military escalation with many further casualties among civilians and the continuation of stagnation in the political process”.
According to Gabriel, even the most intense efforts to negotiate fail, if “not enough political will to implement agreements.”
