In turn, Finance Minister Alexander danyluk said that the resumption of the legal status of the tax police will lead to a delay in the establishment of the financial investigation Service.
“I believe that the tax police – a repressive organ pushing against a business that does not reduce the number of financial crimes. This heritage must remain in the past. The renewal of the powers of the tax police will lead to a delay in the establishment of the country’s new financial investigation Service”, – said the Minister.
The bill number 0940 on the taxation of inheritance deputies adopted for voted 278 deputies at minimum necessary 226 votes. However, the amendment, which legally “reviving” the tax police have failed, gaining only 194 votes.

A bill on the establishment of the financial investigation Service provides a number of basic principles on which it is planned to create financial police:
- replacement of the power of the analytical approach;
- downsizing to 2.5 thousand people (currently 15 million);
- non-interference in the work of an honest business;
- updating of staff through a transparent competition and an independent selection Committee, representatives of the power block – no more than 25%;
- wages, which will reduce the risk of corruption and provide an opportunity to attract the best people.
