Ukraine had successfully implemented the process of import substitution, and should continue to move in the direction of creating a full production cycle in the aircraft industry and defense industry. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman, transfers a press-service of the government.
“Successfully passed the work on import substitution. We were traditionally tied to the economy, including the Russian Federation, in particular in the aircraft industry, defense industry. Today we reached full substitution. In General, most products produced at enterprises in Ukraine. What we lack, we can import to Ukraine from European countries. But our task is to ensure that we are fully, 100% to form a full production cycle, irrespective of imports”, – said Groisman, opening the meeting on the aviation industry at PJSC “fed” in Kharkov.
Ukrainian enterprises, in his words, have come to European and world markets.
“We are the country that is able to build their own planes, and not all countries have this opportunity,” – said Groisman.
“The world aircraft industry, aeronautical engineering is competitive. Therefore, we must provide a quality environment for the development of our enterprises”, – underlined the Prime Minister.
Recall that the Ukrainian enterprises are able to produce cargo and passenger aircraft, aircraft engines and certain other types of aviation parts.
However, for 2016, Ukraine has not produced or supplied any new production aircraft.
