In the Federation Council of the Russian Federation commented on expectations trump about the return of Crimea to Ukraine

White house statement on the return of Russia occupied Crimea may be due to the desire of the US administration to “mute” the discontent of Americans by President Donald trump because of his allegedly “Pro-Russian” position.

This was stated by the head of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Ozerov.

“I think one reason for this statement is the situation that has developed in recent years around trump. It was done to relieve tension, to show that he is not as Pro-Russian as it may seem, to muffle discontent, which is about him in the American establishment,” — said Ozerov.

According to him, demanding the return of occupied Crimea is the “same impracticable as if Russia demanded that the U.S. return to her Alaska”.

Earlier, the press Secretary of the President of the United States Donald trump Sean Spicer said the head of state expects Russia to de-escalate the conflict in Ukraine and the return of the occupied Crimea.

“President trump has made it clear that he expects the Russian government will deal with the de-escalation of violence in Ukraine and return Crimea,” said Spicer.

However, he noted that the trump also wants to be able to get along with Russia, in contrast to the previous administration.
