Part of the staff of the “National public broadcasting company of Ukraine” (NOTE), who worked on the organization of the Eurovision-2017 in Kiev, announced its withdrawal from the project. The user calls not to dramatize the situation and promises to find professionals who can help in the further organization of the competition. The website “Today” tried to investigate the scandal.
What happened?
Monday, February 13, part of the team that was responsible for the events of the contest (site for fans, the reception of foreign delegations, etc.) said that more can not continue their work because of failure of tenders and disagreements with management. “We have taken our powers, assigning a new actual Manager of the contest in Ukraine, which gave full control of all aspects of the Eurovision song contest in Ukraine”, – reads the statement of the team. “I really wish success to Eurovision in Ukraine, but I see more opportunities to be in the project,” wrote one member of the team on preparation of the Eurovision song contest-2017 – event-Manager Denis Blewinsky.
“Since the end of December 2016, the year team of the Eurovision song contest did not work on the contest… We can’t, we don’t want and we will not cover for those people who see more development at the Eurovision”, – said the first Deputy Director General NOTE Alexander Harbin.
Harbin is also the Executive producers Eurovision 2017 in Kiev, including, the release from the project said on 21. According to him, the reason for this decision was the appointment in late December of last year the head of training for the competition Pavel Gritsak.

It should be noted that some media publications about the scandal mistakenly used the phrase “creative team”. But the creative part of the work (for example, creating a logo and slogan) was performed by the “contractor” Agency “Herd RE Design” (this includes two creative agencies – Republique – Banda agency, which unite to create the entire complex graphic communications). But the resignation of the team was signed by the Executive producers and Deputy Director General NOTE – the already mentioned Alexander Harabanim and Victoria Romanova.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko said that the differences in the team will not affect the quality of the Eurovision-2017. “For the Eurovision song contest, the government has allocated 455 million hryvnia from the state budget, and Kiev 200 million hryvnia, adopted the Charter of the National public broadcasting company of Ukraine, a number of government decisions and other necessary decisions at all levels.
