The presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the incident that led to the death of Turkish soldiers near the Syrian town of al-Bab. About it reports a press-service of the Kremlin.
“The leaders continued exchanging views on key aspects of the crisis in Syria in the context of the joint fight against international terrorism. Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences in connection with tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of several Turkish soldiers in the town of al-Bab. The two leaders agreed to increase coordination on military operations in Syria against ISIL militants and other extremist organizations”, – stated in the message.
Earlier, CNN reported that a Russian fighter jet “accidentally” bombed by the Turkish military near the Syrian city of al-Bab.
