NBU showed a list of the most unprofitable banks in Ukraine

The national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has published the reporting of banks for the year 2016. According to these data, 31 the establishment was a loss of volume 169,29 billion hryvnia, writes FinClub.

The largest loss in the history of the banking system received a Privat – 135,31 billion hryvnia, which represents 80% loss of unprofitable banks. Loss

PrivatBank is caused by the formation of reserves in 2016, $ 144,45 billion hryvnia, which were generated by the credit portfolio of the associated entities. In the end, the allowance for loans to legal entities for the year reached 147,49 billion UAH, individuals – 13.51 bln hryvnia.

The three for loss included Ukrsotsbank (-10,37 billion) redeemed in past year, “Alfa-Group” and VTB Bank (-6,32 billion hryvnia) is a subsidiary Bank of state Bank. Alfa-Bank closes five loss-making banks (-4,09 billion).

Among the most unprofitable banks many institutions with Russian state capital: VTB Bank, Prominvestbank (-4,23 billion), Sberbank (-2,82 billion), BM Bank (-1,76 billion).

Recall that 60 banks in Ukraine have already finished stress testing: including 21, the Bank did not need capital increase, and nine have already completed a recapitalization program. Thus, the recapitalization program are now 30 banks. In addition, the status of problem now have five financial institutions.

Next week , the NBU may start stress testing of 33 banks, accounting for only 2% of banking system assets.
