Periodically appearing hearings about the poor health of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad are nothing more than a fiction and have nothing to do with reality. This was stated to journalists following the meeting with the Syrian leader, member of the parliamentary group of the state Duma of the Russian Federation on communications with Parliament of Syria, Alexander Yushchenko.
“All these rumors are nothing more than fiction and nothing to do with reality are not,” said Yushchenko.
In turn, another member of the delegation, the Deputy of the state Duma Sergey Gavrilov has underlined that “Assad is physically in good shape, he’s dynamic, he has a great sense of humor.”
Earlier media reported that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is in hospital in serious condition, he was confined to bed. It was reported that Assad was hospitalized with ischemic stroke.
