In Ukraine today there are five troubled banks. This was stated by Deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Ekaterina Rozhkova.
“Now we have five troubled banks. For 2.5 years, banks periodically fall into the status of problematic; during this entire period, 13 banks were troubled, but left the problems and work normally,” – said Rozhkov.
Deputy head of the NBU reminded that the Bank received the status of the problem – is not a sentence, because following the requirements of the regulator, the financial institution ceases to be problematic.
“In the future we status problem would not be necessary because we are changing the order of our daily interaction with the Bank”, announced Rozhkova.
According to the Deputy head of the NBU, the recapitalization program is now 30 banks.
As reported, in the course of cleansing the banking system of Ukraine from the market were withdrawn 87 financial institutions.
